Nail wraps for short nails
Nail wraps can work well on short nails because the design is trimmed to the natural nail rather than relying on added length. The most important step is choosing a wrap that fits the width without touching skin or cuticle.
Before application, gently shape uneven edges and clean the nail surface. Place the rounded end near, but not on, the cuticle. Smooth from the centre towards the sides so there are no creases. Fold the excess over the free edge and file downwards; filing side to side can pull at the adhesive.
Some longer patterns may show differently on a short nail. Look for smaller-scale prints, gradients, French-tip proportions or all-over colour when you want more of the design to remain visible. One wrap may sometimes cover more than one very short nail, but only do this when the product instructions allow it and each piece remains clean and easy to position.
Do not stretch a narrow wrap across the nail because that can cause lifting. A correctly fitted smaller design usually gives a cleaner result.
