NAIL CARE GUIDE

Do nail wraps damage your nails?

Nail wraps are designed to sit on the nail surface, but the way they are applied and removed can affect the natural nail. The biggest avoidable risk is forcing a wrap off. Pulling, scraping or peeling quickly can lift surface layers of the nail plate and leave nails feeling rough or weak.

Apply wraps only to healthy-looking, clean and dry nails. Avoid covering broken skin, soreness, signs of infection or a nail condition that needs professional advice. Choose a size that fits the nail plate rather than overlapping onto the skin, and follow the instructions supplied for that wrap type.

For removal, soften the adhesive as directed and work slowly from an edge. An oil or remover may be suitable depending on the product. Never force an area that is still firmly attached. After removal, wash hands and use a simple nail or cuticle oil if that suits your routine.

If you experience persistent pain, swelling, discolouration or irritation, stop using the product and seek appropriate professional advice. This guide is general care information and does not replace medical guidance.
